Event Description

PRE-REGISTRATION IS CLOSED - You can still donate and you can still register in the morning at Cooks Corner.  7am ride starts, 8am run starts, 11ish for lunch and give away.

What

Get together for lunch with the Young family.

Why

Don Young, husband and father of two, was diagnosed with ALS within the last year and lost his ability to run his business.  In addition to losing his income, ALS patients take on average, $80,000 per year to take care of, and insurance does not cover it all.  Don is too proud to ask for help, however, I feel it is our duty to help his family.

What is ALS

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) – also referred to as motor neurone disease in some Commonwealth of Nations countries and as Lou Gehrig's disease in the United States – is a debilitating disease with varied etiology characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and fasciculations, muscle spasticity, difficulty speaking, difficulty swallowing, and difficulty breathing.

Purpose

Raise awareness of ALS and raise money to help the Young Family
